How about an update on the new rifle Rob, I'm in the market for a "decent" air rifle. How is the accuracy? You using the scope or open sights?

Hey,

To be honest I have not had the opportunity to shoot it much. It's really too loud to shoot it in my neighborhood.

I was planning to take it to a range soon and really try and get it zeroed in at about 25 yards.

I know this thread is old but I'm posting this for future searches.
You can get a RWS 34 for about $200 here:

I'll take made in Germany over made in China anyday.
After much research I went with the RWS 48 Striker combo with scope. This uses a side lever to cock instead of a break barrel. I use this for backyard plinking/target practice and the 17HMR for small game. I got the .22 cal rifle.

I'm going to check out the type you got, Rob. With scope included that sounds like a fair deal.

At present I have a .22 cal Daisy Model 22X, speed of 530fps. I think I paid about $65 for it.  A bit on the low side as far as speed but I have killed a couple of crows with it. I just want a little more faster pellet than what I have now and Wally World has trouble keeping hunting-type .22 pellets in stock.
