I seem to always have problems with stuff getting into the little hose that lets the carb float work correctly. Last year I had a bee make leaf nest in the tube on my Gator. I would turn the key on and gas would pour out of the carb. This year it was the TimberWolf ATV. I am not sure what the clog was (It was white), but it was dumping gas into the Air filter box. I also have a DR trimmer that needed the same tube cleaned. It had mud in it. Does anyone have a trick on keeping these clean? Or is it something that I am just going to have to keep cleaning lol.

You could try a bit of steel wool in there to keep the bugs out.

I have the Trimmer one. Its like a Mega Weed Eater. It works good! Kind of a pain when you get a bad batch of sting because the big weeds will eat it up and there is no "Bump and Run" feeding system . Not sure about the mower though.

I have a Bearcat string trimmer/mower. I used to have a few small trees it didn't like. But it has a saw blade too though I've never used it. Buzz, I've used a DR brush mower and if you can hang on it will go places and make a trail doing it. A friend bought it and he let me barrow it to open the horse trails near my house. That thing was really powerful. If it was mine I'd weld up a sulky to attach to it so i could ride behind it like I have on my BCS rototiller.

I believe he is suggesting the use of bug spray in the fuel vent to keep insects out, not sure what a surface spray is??

Try starting them up more often and letting them run a bit.

Best suggestion was already stated. Steelwool not the fine 0000 stuff we use for our rusty barrels the courser stuff the wife uses in the kitchen would be better.
