Just picked up my Predator .223 in Snow Camo  Grin
Detachable Mag., Accu-trigger.
Accu-Trigger factory set at a Crisp #1.75  Cool
This Stock is much better than the previous models, it is Pillar Bedded
but still needs a proper bedding, just as soon as the Acra-Glass Gel gets here.
The Nikon 4.5-14X40 looks right at home.
Hope to post up Pics of Targets by Sunday.

Finally came back to a Savage. Roll Eyes  Nice looking rig and that Nikon should do the job.

Range Report:
It appears my new Predator .223 likes it Hot & Dirty  Shocked
Personally; I would prefer it to shoot good from the get go.
My Previous Savage, a 12FV shot tiny groups right off of a clean barrel.
All in all I am pleased.
I have completly Free floated the barrel, however I have not had time
to bed the Action.
All groups shot from a Harris Bi-Pod.
40 V-Max Loads

Clean Bore I get this:

After about 20 rounds I get this:

That second group isn't too bad Sterling.  I'm sure it will breakin in somewhat as time goes on.  But your old Savage was a better shooter out of the box.  I still have my old Model 12 we used to take to the range.  It shot these two groups working up my 40gr V-max loads.  Five shots at 100 yards.  I tried the On Target Precision Calculator and the CTC on the group at the right is 0.043 inches.  Not bad for a stock Savage.

Jesus. Those are amazing 100 yard groups.

You guys should become professional precision snipers.

You should discard your first group. I find I need to "settle down", then the groups tighten up.

No caffine, or other stimulants, before shooting, either!!

It's a fine gun for shooting ground squirrels and prairie dogs but a bit heavy to pack around.
