if you fire 250 rounds say in a day on range it wont have any effects on barrel?im a newbie ihave heard they last much longer than centerfires ,im very happy now was worried id waste money chaging things on rifle then the barrel start to go bad and it would be money wasted!I love my cz!

lead bullets should not wear down a barrel and you should get up past 10,000 easily, so you will be happily shooting your lux for years to come..my son has a 22 lux and it is a fantastic little rifle...just bought the older brother CZ American in 22 mag..love it so far
typical centerfire is about 3000 rds

my marlin model 60 probably has 30k (or more) rounds down the factory pipe and it still shoots true after 15+ years of trigger time before i got my 10/22 as my new plinker.

i couldnt tell ya what went down the factory barrel of my 10/22 because i bought it used and then dumped more than 10k through it.  I replaced that barrel, but only to upgrade to a .920 heavy barrel setup.

i'm sure full auto folks can wear out a .22 barrel, but it takes a LOT of dedication and trigger time to even start the process... shoot away!

I've seen 22's with 60,000 rounds through them with bores that are as clear and bright as a brand new rifle.

The average 22 rifle barrel should out last you, your kids and it's own action.
