mounted an old Norinco 2 1/2 on my new 45-70 H&R, after the first dozen or so shots, the groups opened up a lot, that old Norinco had developed scads of paralax. guess that healthy recoil was a bit more than it could handle. SO, it's junk now for sure, I figured I can't hurt anything now. I removed the objective(20mm)lens, found the second lens was adjustable(threaded). long story short, fooling with it. I succeded in removing all that paralax. replaced the objective lens, which serves as a lock ring. I know, if there were any nitrogen(SP?)in it to start with, there ain't any now, but that sucker is paralax free now. Mabey it'll work on a rimfire anyhow. first time it gets cold it will probably fog right up. oh well, it was toast anyhow.
